People protect what they care about
A healthier environment makes for happier people. Real progress on ending extinction needs the public to make it a priority, in our daily lives and when we vote. But people care about what they know, and many of our arboreal animals are nocturnal or tucked away in tree hollows. Most Australians never get to see them.
How the monitoring station helps
Discover the wildlife next door
Walk a public nest box trail, connect with your phone and watch live from inside the hollow.
Build the evidence for better habitat
Every observation joins an open database showing which nest box designs and installations work, and for which species. It's how we'll learn to support the threatened animals we don't yet know how to help.
See for yourself
Gliders in a nest box, filmed in unobtrusive no-glow night vision and streamed live to a phone on the ground with the free Comfy Creatures Monitor app.
Bring it to your community
We work with councils, catchment and bushcare groups, schools and ecological consultants on live-stream trails, research, education and habitat rehabilitation projects.
