Comfy Creatures Monitor ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we handle information when you use our wildlife monitoring application.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect personal information
• We do not track user analytics
• We do not use advertising identifiers
• We do not share data with third parties

Device Permissions We Request

Location

• Purpose: To record the location of nest boxes
• Usage: Only active when commissioning a nest box and not available to general users. Default option reduces location accuracy to 1km.

Storage/Media Permission

• Purpose: To save photos and videos you capture to your device gallery. Photos may be accessed from the client device while commissioning a nest box; not available in general use.
• Usage: Client device media is available while commissioning a nest box only; not generally available. Captured media is stored on the device.

Network Access

• Purpose: To connect to monitoring station Wi-Fi networks and the internet
• Usage: Local network connection to monitoring stations. Monitoring station observation data is synced to Comfy Creatures public databases on the internet.

Data Syncing and Storage

• Photos, videos and environmental sensing data captured through the observation function is shared with public databases.
• Photos and videos captured directly are stored locally on the device.

Children's Privacy

This app is suitable for all ages and does not collect any personal information from users of any age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date.
